Throughout the centuries, knitters in Estonia have created their own world of beauty with the help of needles and yarn - they put together simple and complex patterns from everything they saw and caught the eye, they found color magic that still touches us today. Knitted things were not in ancient times and are not just body warmers, they protect and decorate, show the care and skill of the maker.

This book brings the story of Estonian gloves to the weaver, starting with the beautiful local mitten patterns and the customs of wearing gloves. down to the technical details of weaving. The book contains 297 mittens from every corner of Estonia with photos, patterns and instructions, as well as comprehensive instructions for knitting gloves born from experience.
